All regular employees of the Grant Parish School Board who may enlist in the Armed Forces shall be granted a military leave without pay.  Tenure rights that the teacher has attained prior to leave shall not be affected.


Upon his/her return, an employee on military leave must apply for reinstatement of his/her former position within thirty (30) days after discharge; he/she shall then be reinstated at the salary then in force in the salary schedule.  The Board may transfer the employee to a position of comparable status if in the opinion of the Board such action is beneficial to the system.
